About Dr. Luis Espinoza

Luis Espinoza, MD, is a double board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist treating patients at Orthopedic Center for Sports Medicine in Metairie, Louisiana. Dr. Espinoza joined the Orthopedic Center for Sports Medicine in 2003 after completing his sports medicine fellowship at the University of California San Diego.  He graduated from LSU Medical School in 1997 and completed his subsequent residency at the LSU Orthopaedic Department from 1997-2002.

Dr. Espinoza is currently double board certified in the practice of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and served as the chief orthopedic surgeon for the New Orleans Zephyrs, the AAA affiliate of Major League Baseball, for 10 years.  He has also previously served as the team physician for St. Martin's high school and the New Orleans Rugby club.
